A tragic accident at Takchhu in Monggar yesterday claimed the lives of five family members, including two minors, after their vehicle veered off a farm road and plunged down the slope.
A minor survivor was rescued from the wreckage and is currently undergoing treatment at the Regional Referral Hospital. Click Here
According to initial reports, the driver is suspected to have lost control of the vehicle, leading to the fatal crash.
The Monggar Police confirmed that this incident adds to the 25 accidents reported in the district so far this year. With a surge in travel as people head toward Bumthang for the National Day celebrations, authorities have issued a strong advisory urging motorists to drive cautiously, especially with icy road conditions posing additional risks.
