Bhutan’s young para-badminton sensation, 14-year-old Cheyang Kuenchap, secured a bronze medal at the 5th Asian Youth Para Games, marking a proud moment for the nation on the international sports stage.
Cheyang reached the semifinals earlier today after an impressive win against his opponent from Thailand, taking the match in straight sets 21–13 and 21–7. Later in the day, he went up against South Korea’s Yeonghun Noh, where he put up a strong fight but narrowly missed the finals with scores of 13–21 and 16–21.
