Dagap Farm Festival Day Two Concludes Successfully; Local Products Competition Highlights Gewog Excellence
Dagapela: The second day of the Dagap Farm Festival concluded successfully today, marking another milestone in promoting local agriculture and rural innovation. A key highlight of the day was the local products competition, which witnessed enthusiastic participation from 14 gewogs.
In the competition, Tshangkha Gewog secured first place for its high-quality strawberries, impressing the judges with excellence across multiple evaluation criteria. Gozhi Gewog claimed second place for its butter and cheese, while Tashiding Gewog earned third place for its yogurt.
The products were assessed on several parameters, including quality, sustainability, creativity, and overall presentation, reflecting the festival’s emphasis on innovation and environmentally responsible farming practices.
The organizers expressed sincere gratitude to Dagapela Middle Secondary School for its invaluable support in ensuring the smooth conduct of the event. Appreciation was also extended to all 14 participating gewogs for their dedication and hard work, as well as to the Dzongkhag team for their tireless efforts throughout the festival.
The organizing committee further acknowledged the contributions of numerous individuals whose behind-the-scenes support played a crucial role in the overall success of the Dagap Farm Festival.
