President Paudel Calls on Government to Focus on Upcoming House of Representatives Election
Kathmandu: President Ramchandra Paudel has urged the government to give top priority to the successful conduct of the upcoming House of Representatives election, scheduled for 5 March next year.
The President made this appeal while receiving a report from Prime Minister and National Security Council Chair Sushila Karki at Sheetal Niwas. During the meeting, he stressed that the government must carry out its responsibilities in a careful and accountable manner, ensuring that no actions disrupt or influence the electoral process.
Emphasising the importance of a free, fair and peaceful election, President Paudel noted that maintaining stability, security and public trust during the election period is a fundamental duty of the government.
As preparations for the parliamentary polls gather pace nationwide, the President highlighted the need for close coordination among state institutions to protect and strengthen Nepal’s democratic process.
