New Delhi–Ferozepur Vande Bharat Express Set to Boost Rail Connectivity Between the Capital and Punjab
New Delhi, November 10:
Indian Railways is introducing a new Vande Bharat Express between New Delhi and Ferozepur, designed to enhance connectivity between the national capital and Punjab’s border regions. The semi-high-speed service will begin its regular operations on Tuesday, November 11, running six days a week.
The train will link Delhi, Panipat, Kurukshetra, Ambala, Patiala, Bathinda, and Faridkot before reaching Ferozepur Cantonment, following the same route on its return journey.
According to Northern Railway officials, the Ferozepur Cantt–Delhi Vande Bharat Express (Train No. 26462/26461) will be the fastest train on this stretch, covering the 486 km journey in about 6 hours and 40 minutes.
As per the schedule, Train No. 26462 will leave Ferozepur Cantt at 7:55 a.m. and arrive in Delhi at 1:35 p.m., while Train No. 26461 will depart Delhi at 4:00 p.m. and reach Ferozepur Cantt at 11:35 p.m.
Officials noted that the new Vande Bharat Express will offer passengers a faster, more efficient, and comfortable travel experience, further improving rail infrastructure and regional connectivity across North India. 🚄✨
