Leopard Spotted on Tree in Falakata’s Dhanirampur Area, Returns to Forest Safely
Falakata, November 8:
Panic spread across Dhanirampur area under Falakata block in Alipurduar district after a leopard was spotted perched high on a tree on Friday night. The incident occurred behind the residence of a local villager, Shivprasad Roy.
The sight of the leopard created both fear and curiosity among residents, who quickly alerted the Dalgaon Range office of the Forest Department. Responding promptly, forest officials arrived at the location to assess the situation and ensure public safety.
However, before any rescue measures could be carried out, the leopard jumped down from the tree and disappeared into the nearby forest.
As a precautionary step, the Forest Department has placed a cage in the area and continues to monitor the situation closely to prevent any recurrence.
