The residents immediately informed the Forest Department. Upon receiving the alert, the Jaldapara Forest Department’s Rapid Response Team quickly reached the spot. After considerable effort, the team successfully captured the massive King Cobra safely and later released it into the forest area.

According to forest officials, the rare species of snake may have come down from the hills, possibly due to the floods that occurred on October 5, or it might have moved down out of fear during that time.

A large number of curious locals gathered to catch a glimpse of the giant snake. However, forest personnel promptly controlled the crowd, advised everyone to maintain a safe distance, and ensured that the rescue operation was carried out without causing any harm to the snake.

The Forest Department has urged citizens to immediately inform authorities if they spot any dangerous wildlife and to avoid attempting to capture such animals on their own.
