Illegal Foreign Liquor Seized in Jaigaon, One Arrested
Alipurduar District Police has intensified its crackdown against illegal liquor activities across different police station areas of the district.
Acting on specific source information, Sub-Inspector Milan Barman along with his team conducted a late-night raid at Hotel Paradise Resort under the jurisdiction of Jaigaon Police Station on May 10, 2026.
During the operation, police recovered around 270 litres of foreign liquor, including beer of different brands, allegedly being stored illegally. One accused person was arrested on the spot in connection with the seizure.
Police officials stated that specific cases have been registered under the relevant sections of law regarding the incident. Authorities have reaffirmed their commitment to continue strict action against illegal liquor trade and related unlawful activities in the district.
