Son Arrested for Alleged Murder of Father in Tsirang, Bhutan
Initial information indicates that a confrontation broke out at their home late at night after the son returned. During the altercation, the father is said to have hit his son with a piece of plywood, after which the son left the house.
Concerned that tensions could worsen, the man’s wife reportedly asked her husband to step out of the house. He later took shelter in a nearby bamboo area.
Police sources say the son returned sometime later, located his father, and allegedly assaulted him using stones before leaving the scene once again.
The suspect came back early this morning but, not finding anyone at home, went to check the area where the earlier incident had taken place. It was there that he found his father unresponsive. He subsequently informed the police.
Authorities have launched a full investigation, and further details are expected as the case develops.
