Three Killed After Car Plunges 250 Meters in Trashigang, Bhutan
According to police, a search operation was launched after the occupants were reported missing yesterday evening. The vehicle was later located off the Yangnyer-Gongthung road.
Preliminary findings suggest the accident occurred on Sunday night while the victims were returning to Trashigang after dropping off friends. Medical examinations confirmed that all three died from severe head injuries sustained in the crash.
Police stated that alcohol consumption, combined with foggy weather, rain, and poor visibility, may have contributed to the tragic incident.
The bodies were handed over to the families today. Authorities have urged drivers to exercise extra caution, especially during adverse weather conditions.
