Her Majesty Gyalyum Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck Receives Soldier of Humanity Award 2025
Her Majesty Gyalyum Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck was conferred the Soldier of Humanity Award 2025 at Bodoland University, Assam, in recognition of her lifelong commitment to compassion, social welfare, and inclusive development.
The award, instituted in honour of Bodofa Upendra Nath Brahma, celebrates values of dignity, peace, and the philosophy of “Live and Let Live.” These ideals closely resonate with Bhutan’s vision of Gross National Happiness, which emphasizes holistic well-being and harmony.
While accepting the honour, Her Majesty dedicated the award to the communities, volunteers, and partners of the Tarayana Foundation, acknowledging their collective efforts in uplifting vulnerable sections of society. She also highlighted the enduring friendship and shared purpose between the people of Bhutan and India, underscoring the strong cultural and humanitarian ties between the two nations.
