Burglary Case Solved in Naxalbari; Accused Arrested with Stolen Cash and Gold Recovered
Acting swiftly on the complaint, police launched an investigation using CCTV footage analysis, local inquiries, and source information. Based on the evidence gathered, officers identified the accused as Dipak Das, also known as Khyapa, a resident of Matigara.
With assistance from Matigara Police Station, the accused was arrested. During the operation, police recovered ₹1 lakh in cash, six pairs of gold bangles, and the scooty allegedly used in the commission of the crime.
Officials confirmed that further investigation is ongoing to determine if the accused was involved in any other similar incidents.
Darjeeling Police reiterated its commitment to maintaining public safety and ensuring prompt action against criminal activities.
