Tailoring Training Program Launched Under 53rd Battalion Sashastra Seema Bal, Simlabari–Falakata

A Tailoring Training Program was inaugurated today under the guidance of Acting Commandant Shri Dheeraj Kumar, Second-in-Command of the 53rd Battalion, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Simlabari–Falakata. The inaugural ceremony was conducted by Deputy Commandant Shri Abhijit Sarkar.
The program is being held at the Saraswati Shishu Mandir School Hall, located at Bhulan Chowpati, Jaigaon, within the operational area of ‘D’ Company, 53rd Battalion SSB.
Organized in collaboration with the non-governmental organization “Sanskar Welfare Academy,” the training initiative is being conducted under the leadership of Secretary Mrs. Riya Roy and President Mr. Sudip Sarkar. The duration of the training program is 30 days, and it aims to provide skill development opportunities for 50 women participants from the ‘D’ Company area of Jaigaon.
On this occasion, Assistant Commandant Shri Vipan Sharma of the 53rd Battalion was also present.
The initiative reflects Sashastra Seema Bal’s continued commitment to women’s empowerment, community engagement, and self-reliance among local residents living in border areas.
