Police Thwart Ganja Smuggling Attempt on Falakata–Madarihat Road; Three Held
Falakata, Alipurduar: A late-night police operation on Saturday led to the recovery of a significant quantity of ganja and the arrest of three individuals. Acting on confidential information about a suspected smuggling attempt using a Maruti Alto, police set up a strategic checkpoint near the railway overbridge on the Falakata–Madarihat Road.
During the inspection, officers discovered 25.49 kg of ganja hidden inside the vehicle. The three men travelling in the car were detained on the spot. Those arrested are:

A case under the appropriate sections of the narcotics law has been filed against them. Investigators are questioning the accused to trace the supply chain of the seized substance and identify where the consignment was intended to be delivered.
