Jaigaon Police Recover Stolen Copper Pipes, One Arrested
According to police sources, a theft complaint was lodged at Jaigaon Police Station on February 14, 2026. Acting swiftly on the complaint, the investigation was entrusted to Mehebubu Habib under the leadership of Officer-in-Charge Mingma Sherpa.
Following rapid inquiry and follow-up action, police conducted a search on Monday morning, February 16, and recovered 22 pieces of copper pipes weighing approximately 7 kilograms. The stolen items were seized from the possession of Alimuddin Miya, a resident of Gouri Gaon in Jaigaon.
The accused has been arrested and produced before the Alipurduar court after completion of necessary legal formalities.
Police officials stated that the timely action reflects their continued commitment to maintaining law and order and ensuring the safety and security of citizens in the area.
