The training, held from 24 November to 5 December 2025, is supported by the Government of India through the Project Tied Assistance (PTA) initiative.

The course is designed to enhance the investigative skills of Bhutanese officers by introducing them to advanced forensic methods and modern crime-solving techniques. The curriculum includes comprehensive sessions on:

  • Forensic Psychology

  • DNA Profiling and Forensic Biology

  • Toxicology and Forensic Chemistry

  • Cybercrime and Digital Evidence

  • Financial and Economic Crime Investigation

  • Anti–Money Laundering Practices and Cross-Border Crime Cooperation

To complement classroom learning, participants will tour some of Hyderabad’s leading scientific and forensic laboratories, giving them practical exposure to state-of-the-art technology used in complex investigations.

The program highlights the strong partnership between India and Bhutan and reflects their continued commitment to strengthening policing capabilities and promoting effective crime prevention across borders.
