Cleaning Campaign Promotes Environmental Care and Community Safety in Samtse
The initiative focused on promoting a healthy and clean environment while also raising awareness on the prevention of abuse and violence, protection of children and vulnerable individuals, and informing the public about available support services.
Around 20 youth participants from Norbugang Gewog actively took part in the campaign as a gesture of service and responsibility towards the nation, carried out in loyal devotion to His Majesty the King. The Environment Officer also participated in the activity, reflecting strong institutional commitment to environmental protection and community wellbeing.
Logistical support for transportation was provided by Exalt Company, while refreshments were arranged with support from the Dzongkhag Administration. The waste collected during the campaign was later transported by the municipal garbage truck for proper disposal.
Organizers expressed hope that the campaign would inspire positive change and encourage collective responsibility in keeping the community clean and safe. The initiative reinforced the message of reducing waste, caring for the environment, and working together for a cleaner and healthier society.
