Four Passengers Injured in Gelephu–Thimphu Bus Incident, Mechanical Failure Suspected

Four passengers suffered minor injuries after a bus travelling from Gelephu to Thimphu was involved in an accident on Sunday. They are being treated at Damphu Hospital and are in stable condition, while all other passengers escaped without harm.

Officials confirmed that 15 people were on board, including a three-year-old child. Early indications point to a possible mechanical issue as the cause of the incident.

A separate bus heading toward Thimphu later reached the location and safely transported the passengers to their destination. Authorities are now investigating to determine what led to the accident.
