Their Majesties The King and Queen of Bhutan Pay Respects to Late Queen Sirikit of Thailand

His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Gyaltsuen of Bhutan are in Thailand to pay their respects to Her Late Majesty Queen Sirikit, The Queen Mother of Thailand, and to personally convey their condolences to His Majesty The King of Thailand.
Their Majesties offered a wreath and signed the book of condolences before the Royal Urn at the Dusit Maha Prasat Throne Hall in the Grand Palace. Later in the evening, they joined His Majesty The King of Thailand and members of the Thai Royal Family for the royal merit-making and prayer ceremony in honour of the late Queen Mother.
Her Majesty Queen Sirikit passed away on October 24, 2025, at the age of 93. The Kingdom of Thailand is currently observing a period of national mourning to honour her remarkable life of service, compassion, and dedication to the Thai people, which earned her their profound love and reverence.
The presence of Their Majesties The King and Queen of Bhutan in Bangkok reflects the deep and enduring friendship between the Royal Families of Bhutan and Thailand, as well as the longstanding bonds of respect, goodwill, and shared values between the two nations.
