🎖️ The First Cohort of Pelsung Monday Completes Desuung Integrated Training! 🎉
A remarkable milestone was achieved today in Pelrithang, Gelephu, as the first cohort of Pelsung Monday successfully completed their Desuung Integrated Training with a Passing Out Parade, marking the conclusion of the foundational phase of the Pelsung program. 🇧🇹
Launched by His Majesty The King on 7 October 2025, during the inauguration of Pelsung in Gelephu, this visionary initiative embodies His Majesty’s aspiration to prepare a generation of youth who are disciplined, capable, and purpose-driven — ready to lead Bhutan into a bright and prosperous future.
During the launch, His Majesty reminded the nation:
“Everything we are doing today is for our youth – so that they will be better versions of us, better prepared, smarter, and more hard-working. It falls on us to build that future, and on them to protect it and take it to greater heights.”
The Desuung Integrated Training formed the first phase of the Pelsung journey — building discipline, resilience, teamwork, and a deep sense of national service. Equipped with these qualities, the Pelsups are now ready to embark on the Innovation and GMC Immersion Phase, where they will work in teams to explore real-world challenges and design mindful, future-oriented solutions aligned with the vision of the Gelephu Mindfulness City (GMC).
Today’s ceremony was graced by Dr. Lotay Tshering, Governor of the Gelephu Mindfulness City, as the Chief Guest, and attended by proud parents, friends, members of the Pelsung Board and Secretariat, Desuung coordinators, and the military community.
✨ The journey continues — from physical and fortitude training to innovation and national progress. The Pelsung Graduation will take place in December 2025, marking the completion of this transformative program.
