Two Women Arrested with 2.4 Kg Ganja in Jaigaon Police Operation
Jaigaon, Alipurduar: Acting on credible source information, a team from Jaigaon Police Station, along with lady constables, carried out a targeted operation in Guabari area under Jaigaon Police Station in Alipurduar district.
During the operation, police detained two women and conducted a search following all prescribed Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Approximately 2.4 kilograms of ganja was recovered from their joint conscious and exclusive possession. The seized contraband was taken into custody in accordance with legal provisions.
A case has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and both accused have been formally arrested. Police officials confirmed that further investigation is currently underway.
Alipurduar District Police reiterated their commitment to strict enforcement against illegal narcotics and ongoing efforts to ensure a drug-free society.
