One Killed, Several Injured in Chain Collision on Asian Highway 48
Reports indicate that around 3:30 AM, a truck lost control and overturned into a roadside ditch. Another truck stopped nearby so people could help rescue those trapped inside.
During this time, a third truck approaching from behind tried to avoid the parked vehicle but lost control and also veered off the road. Shortly after, a fourth speeding truck rammed into the stationary vehicle, worsening the situation.
A civic volunteer on duty at the spot was also injured when his motorcycle was struck during the incident.
Police and emergency responders arrived quickly, carried out rescue operations, and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital.
Authorities have confirmed one fatality so far, while several others are receiving treatment. An investigation is underway to find out what led to the accident.
