Man Arrested with 1,622 Intoxicating Capsules in Jaigaon; Police Intensify Anti-Drug Drive

Acting on a tip-off, police conducted a planned raid at a house in the Bhanubhakta Tole area under Jaigaon. During the operation, police arrested a suspect identified as Bikash Chettri and recovered 1,622 intoxicating capsules from his possession.
Police officials said the entire operation was carried out following legal procedures, including video recording and seizure in the presence of a magistrate as per government regulations.
Officer-in-Charge Nayan Das stated that the police are continuing strict action against drug trafficking. A case has been registered against the accused under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
The accused will be produced before the court with a request for police remand. During interrogation, police aim to identify and arrest others involved in the drug network as part of their commitment to making society drug-free. 🚨💊
