Bhutan Fall to Japan by 77 Runs in Open Men’s T20I Series
After winning the toss, Japan opted to bat first and put up a competitive total of 170 for the loss of five wickets in their allotted 20 overs. The Japanese batters maintained steady momentum throughout the innings, setting a challenging target for Bhutan.
In response, Bhutan struggled to build partnerships and were bowled out for 93 runs in 18.2 overs, falling well short of the target.
In the other match of the day, Bahrain edged past host Thailand by 12 runs to secure their place in the final.
Bhutan will now face Thailand tomorrow in the third-place playoff, while Japan and Bahrain will clash in the final of the tournament.
