The exercise was aimed at strengthening response mechanisms and enhancing safety measures for both visitors and the preservation of valuable cultural assets.
Fire preparedness drills hold particular importance for historic heritage sites and public spaces, where safeguarding human lives and protecting irreplaceable cultural property are critical responsibilities.
The management of the museum extended sincere appreciation to the Royal Bhutan Police, Bumthang, for their support, guidance, and active participation in successfully conducting the drill. Their cooperation played a key role in making the exercise effective and informative.
Through this drill, staff members gained practical experience and improved confidence in responding efficiently during emergency situations. The museum authorities stated that similar preparedness drills will be conducted periodically in the future as part of a continued commitment to safety, resilience, and the protection of Bhutan’s heritage sites.
