Awareness & Responsibility | Anti-Drugs Campaign | Jaigaon
A vibrant public awareness programme was organised at Gopi Mohan Ground, under Jaigaon Police Station, by Alipurduar District Police, focusing on Awareness & Responsibility among youths and students.
The Superintendent of Police, Alipurduar District, along with the Additional Superintendent of Police, Jaigaon, interacted with students and young citizens, inspiring them to stay away from drug abuse and to strictly follow traffic rules for building a safer and healthier society.
As part of the initiative, a friendly football match ⚽ was held between Jaigaon College XI and ASP XI, Jaigaon Sub-Division. Played in a true spirit of sportsmanship, ASP XI emerged victorious with a 2–1 win, strengthening the message that sports keep youth engaged, disciplined, and drug-free.
The programme was further dignified by the gracious presence of Col Sonam Tshering, SSP, Royal Bhutan Police, Phuentsholing, reflecting strong cross-border goodwill, cooperation, and friendship.
The event also featured cultural programmes and a drawing competition, encouraging creative expression while reinforcing the message of responsibility and positive living.
