Training Workshop Enhances Wildlife Protection Skills of Forest Officials
Jaldapara, November 4: A specialized training workshop was organized by the Jaldapara Wildlife Division in collaboration with the Wildlife Protection Society of India at the Nilpara Conference Hall to strengthen the skills of forest officials in enforcing the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972 and tackling wildlife-related offences.
Approx 40 forest personnel, including guards, beat officers, and range officers, took part in the workshop. Legal and enforcement experts conducted hands-on sessions focusing on investigation techniques, handling of evidence, and proper documentation—key aspects for effective prosecution of wildlife crime cases.
During the event, Forest officials highlighted the importance of continuous training in improving the efficiency and preparedness of frontline forest staff. The programme aims to empower personnel to respond more effectively to wildlife threats and ensure stricter implementation of conservation laws.
The workshop also reaffirmed the Jaldapara Wildlife Division’s commitment to biodiversity protection and its ongoing efforts to build a skilled, knowledgeable, and proactive conservation workforce.
