Royal Bhutan Police Strengthens Community Awareness on Crime and Drug Abuse
A team from the Royal Bhutan Police, led by Deputy Commissioner of Police Dasho Pasang Dorji, carried out a half-day awareness program focusing on crime prevention and drug-related social issues.
The session outlined the roles and responsibilities of government agencies, communities, and individuals, highlighting the need for collective effort in addressing rising drug challenges. Dasho Pasang Dorji also shared an overview of the current crime and drug situation, stressing that every individual has a part to play in creating a safer and drug-free society. He encouraged participants to remain informed, act responsibly, and guide young people before issues escalate.
Officials from the Dzongkhag Administration, regional agencies, local government leaders, school principals, and members of the business community attended the program.
Participants noted that the initiative strengthens collaboration between the public and law enforcement, contributing to safer, more aware, and more resilient communities.
