Five More Illegal Firearms Recovered; Accused in Bhatpara Arms Case on Police Custody
The accused, Ravi Paswan, who was earlier arrested in the case, was taken into six days of police custody for further interrogation. During sustained questioning, he reportedly admitted to hiding five more firearms at a concealed location.
Acting on his disclosure, the Investigating Officer recovered the weapons based on his leading statement and formally seized them as evidence.
Police sources said the accused has also revealed the names of two other individuals allegedly linked to the illegal arms network. Raids are being planned to apprehend them and to recover any additional weapons.
The investigation is ongoing as authorities continue efforts to dismantle the suspected illegal arms supply chain.
